2.0 star ratingThe hotel itself is nice. The room was big and inside the jungle. When I arrived at Ficus, I was told that I had no reservation despite me having the hotelopia voucher. THen I was sent to Finca Valverde to get a room there. I reached there at 12:30. The lady told me that the room would be only ready at 2 pm. I waited until 2pm, and then they said it would not be ready until 3. I had a tour to go to at 3 so I went to the room to leave my bags. THey assured me that the room was clean, but it was not. The bathroom wall had bloodstains and the floor had some marks. The bed covers and pillow covers were not clean either. Other people had the same problem with getting rooms. Although many had reservations they could not get rooms and had to be moved to other hotels. It was a mess. They say theres free wifi, but i could not access anything. Out of the two computers in the lobby, only one worked. I would not recommend this place.31 December 2012
3.0 star ratingsimple rooms great views.I have actually booked Hotel Finca Valverde which is few steps away from the "town" but there were no rooms available so they moved me up to Heliconia (long walk if you are not driving a car). I agreed with them they would bring me down to Finca Valverde when i need a ride but the problem was always that i waited 1h to actually get that ride. - I had jacuzzi in my suite but I could not use it (it would take hours to actually be able to use it and water is constantly changing its temperature) - Wi-Fi was only available at the reception but even this did not work every day - Frontdesk staff seemed to be very stressed and they worked all day (from 5:30am to 11PM) so I am not surprised about the bad service quality - long, hilly and slippery walk to the reception (must walk very careful) - no mini barDee04 January 2013
