Staff unobtrusive but always there when wanted, friendly but not over friendlyAs the name says this is a resort hotel much larger than the Zimbali Lodge and with a very modern contemporary. WE stayed over a long holiday weekend and found the music playing around the pool rather loud but this maybe what's expected on these occasions. For quieter stay with a feeling of old fashioned elegance pick Zimbali Lodge rather than Zimbali Resort. You still have access to all the facilities at the resort if desired and shuttle services run between the two on request.Sevvy728 March 2011
1.0 star ratingDie herzliche Freundlichkeit des Personals hat uns sehr beeindruckt; quer durch alle Funktionen. Die Resortanlage ist traumhaft schön, die Architektur und Einrichtung entspricht unserem Geschmack. Weil wir enttäuscht waren von der Aussicht, in einem Nebengebäude untergebracht zu werden, erhielten wir ohne lange Diskussion ein Upgrade auf ein höherwertiges Zimmer im Haupthaus. Wir haben leider eine ungewöhnliche Schlechtwetterperiode erwischt. Daß wir dennoch so begeistert sind, dürfte für sich sprechen. Wir werden gerne in das Resort zurückkehren.28 November 2011
5.0 star ratingDas 5-Sterne-Hotel entsprach unseren Vorstellungen von einem komfortablen Ort an welchem wir immer wieder gern Urlaub machen würden. Die Lage als auch die Innenausstattung waren außerordentlich. die Mitarbeiter äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbüffett qualitativ gut und reichlich. Das abendliche Menü in der Lodge ebenfalls kostlich und in guter Athmosphäre. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefüht.Gibt es nicht.16 December 2011
4.5 star ratingBeautiful hotel and lovely facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the service at all restaurants / bars was very good. Room was large and spacious and the bed and linen were very comfortable.A few items broken in the room eg. reading light. The ducted airconditioning made the room a bit noisy at night - even though our aircon was switched off, the system could be heard through the vents in our room. The room was quite cold and I think for the standard of hotel, underfloor heating would have been nice. The price of the food (restaurants and room service) at the hotel is extremely over-priced, and at that price one would expect the food to be of a very high level. Unfortunately, the food was extremely average. Our breakfast was included, however if the hotel is busy, you can be left waiting for a breakfast table for 15-20min. Alternative space should be made available if the hotel is busy to accommodate guests.07 May 2013
3.5 star ratingOur room was fantastic although a covered balcony would have been preferable. The weather was bad and we couldnt even sit out on the balcony because the rain comes through he wooden covering.The food for a 5 star hotel was not good. I first of all do not like to help myself at the buffet, i much prefer to order from a menu. After we had eaten a little bit of the food on offer we asked for tia maria coffee, but were told you dont have tia maria. I really expected more. On sunday morning we went to breakfast and walked in on a staff briefing. Shouldnt that be done away from the guests or earlier. Not a good experience all round and certainly wont return.nothappy04 October 2013
