3.0 star ratingQuick check in, nice and clean, late bar.Run out of most of breakfast food with no more forthcoming even though hotel was obviously full-get more food in! No local area maps at reception-one of the most basic requirements of any hotel?17 July 2009
4.0 star ratingIdeally located, spacious rooms, clean, friendly, welcoming. Free wifi. Hotel didn't seem to know we were coming. TV remote was not compatible with TV 29 October 2009
4.5 star ratingVery easy to find. With extremely welcoming reception staff. Very scary lift which jumped alot on reaching the desired floor, being asthmatic I have difficulty with large flights of stairs however I elected to use the stairs during my stay. No body to greet you at breakfast poor coffee in a flask whcih tatsed a little stale and no toast. We did however discover that we could have asked for this to go with our breakfast but again there was nobody there to ask.12 November 2009
4.0 star ratingvery quiet, nice and clean, good views of the park, It was nice to stay in an old building with character. It was also nice and cosy.scrambled eggs were a bit aged looking, juice had run out both mornings and staff seemed uninterested in topping up the breakfast things when they ran out. I could see people getting frustrated but it was such incredible value that no one really complained. Staff were very pleasant though and would get things if they were requested. We were quite late for breakfast so it kind off serves us right if stuff had run out.eddie watt30 November 2009
4.0 star ratingThis hotel has nice features and was very comfortable but a littletime basic. Staff were friendly, helpful and amusing all of which made for a very enjoyable stay.Tip: First up best dressed for a full breakfast, some things were no longer on offer towards the end of the breakfast rota. 4.0 star ratingValue for money compared with, for example, Travelodge. Breakfast good with as much to eat as you wish. Good location fairly easy to find from the centre. Parking was OK on this visit (may be more difficult in high season). The room we had was of a reasonable size with all the facilities one would expect (TV, Trouser Press, Tea Making, Telephone and wifi connection.) Would certainly use again. The only thing that I found a bit annoying was the start up of the kitchen fans first thing in the morning. We were at the rear of the hotel and the sound level was quite high. But it did get us up bright and early for breakfast ! 08 December 2009
