3.5 star ratinggood location, good shuttle service.hotel in desperate need of redecoration and bathroom refurbishment. Public areas very grubby and unpleasant to sit in. The hotel had character and could be very nice if cleaned, decorated and then properly looked after.16 November 2008

3.0 star ratingwe had come down for our grandsons first nativity and as we live a distance away thought we would come down the night before and make sure that we were there to see this special event. Hotel was conveinet to the area we needed to be in After the journey we were looking forward toa relaxing swim and use of the leisure facilitiesHotel looking very tired and could do with a lick of paint Leisure:- the swimming pool area and sauna/steam rooms very poor, hot tub difficult to gt ito as no steps up to it Matress on the bed was very very soft woke in the morning with bad back Although there is a large car park spaces are limited and tight due to the amount of people doing park and fly, it would benifit from the long term car parking to be put at the back of the car park leaving the spaces close to the hotel for those staying a short time18 December 2009

4.0 star ratingExcellent value for the money paid. Busy place but can see why it is so popular. Only used it as an overnight stay before an early flight out of Gatwick in the morning and with the help of the hotel bus this made the start of our holiday stress free.ClareMcN24 November 2011
2.0 star ratingNone!Vicki Pollard 'lookalikes' at reception is not a good impression! No class, smiles or friendliness. Generally, staff aren't interested. Felt like a customer coming through on a conveyour belt. I think you pay peanuts you get monkeys! Breakfast was awful! Cancelled it second morning. 3.5 star ratingThe rooms are a little tired and in need of refurbishing but the main problem is that this hotel does park and fly and there seems to be no control by the hotel on the numbers which they allow to use the carpark. This means it is extremely difficult to get parked when you come back in the evening and guests have to double or even tripple park.Elf14 May 2012

2.5 star ratingDecent size bedroom Very cheap Dirty corridors Requires updating Anonymous 22 December 2016
1.5 star ratingFront desk staff very helpful & polite when we arrivedDamp musty smell in main corridor which continued into the room. The carpet in the main corridor was unclean. The bed sheet was stained with a large stain possibly blood or excrement. It was a large stain & could not be missed when making the bed. We reported it but after returning 6.5 hours later it still was not changed. It took another 2 hours to get this resolved. Speaking to the main bar staff member about who to contact with our issues he simply walked away from my wife as she spoke to him and was rude& completely uninterested. We noticed the bed only had one pillow so we found another in the wardrobe. It did not have a pillow case so we asked if we could get one when they changed the sheets. We actually got our pillow wrapped in a single sheet ?. Final insult was when we did attempt to retire our door cards did not work and when we spoke to the lady at the front desk she insisted it was our fault & that we had put the card next to our mobile phone and was very reluctant to reactivate the card without charge. In fact the doors had reset after the staff had entered our rooms to change the sheet & was nothing to do with us. The last point to mention was the amount of old food on the floors in the breakfast eating area, it was disgusting. We saw the source of this when we watched the male staff member simply wipe off food remains from the table onto the floor and then just reset the table for the next users. The rooms were maybe not expensive £78 each room for the night but cleanliness & courtesy is a basic expectation in any hotel. We did report all our concerns & the lady Manager was polite but offered no explanation or apology. There is no way I would stay in this hotel again.almarnadi01 August 2017
