4.0 star rating	Nice room, good food, friendly staff and very good value due to offer of two nights for one	Smokey/unused smell in hallway leading to room and in room although it cleared when window opened for some time. Single glazed window prone to condensation, frame could do with painting and the handle/partial opening mechanisim repaired - would really need windows replaced with double glazed locking units. 3.5 star rating	We stayed for dinner and the food was excellent. We attended a function and the drinks were very reasonable and the staff overall were very friendly.	The bathroom in our room needed major attention. The tiles and the ceiling were black with mould and mildew and were very offputting. Taps in the gents outside the function suite were very wobbly and had cracked tiles. We didn't check in until 5.30pm, but when we got to our room it hadn't been cleaned since the previous guests had left, even though check out time is 11am. The hotel, on the whole, appeared very shabby and is in need of a spruce up all over.		13 March 2012
4.5 star rating	The bed was comfy for 1 person. Good to have tea/coffee and biscuits supplied. Shower very good.	It was most unfortunate that my room had extractor fans outside which ran all night, by the time I realised that the noise was not coming from a nearby room I felt it was too late to alert staff. 2.0 star rating	Nice breakfast and Bar area	Need to improve Cotomer service,maintain health and safety and infection control . My room wasn't clean all through the day. Phone doesn't work and full of dust. No facility of making tea in room. The hotel activity shown on the web site that came wiz golf but when staff was asked at the reception about the golf activity, staff reply there no golf facility.Very disappointing	Jay	10 August 2013

2.5 star rating		Sorry to give the hotel such a bad review, really they don't deserve it - Hotelopia do as they took my booking but failed to send it to the hotel so no room was reserved and when we arrived it was fully booked. 2.0 star rating	Same day booking and only available hotel in the area	Arrived late (midnight) & there was no record of my booking so spent 30minutes at reception alongside a drunk man who'd fallen out with his family and required a room for the evening although the night porter was a genuinely nice guy and it wasn't his fault! I eventually was given a room key and made my way to the stairs!! (No elevator). Going up the stairs I could see mousetraps along the back wall of the ground floor and smelt a very damp musty smell as I got to the top of the stairs. Got to my room and I thought I'd went back in time to 1985!!!!!! The bed sheets seemed clean and this is my only positive. This hotel is in desperate need of some upgrades and a serious makeover!
