2.5 star ratingit was conveniently located for visiting friends.there was a wedding reception in the hotel that night. our room was directly above the function suite. when I rang reception at 23.10 to enquire when the band would stop playing I was told midnight. The music finally stopped at 00.30. If I had known about the wedding I would certainly not have booked the room.25 September 2008

5.0 star ratingStaff so helpful and friendly, food amazing. lovely welcoming bar/lounge area with open fires and comfy sofas to relax. the locals come into the bar as well, showing its quality, but it wasnt too noisy, just a pleasant time being had by all. the whole experience was one of being welcomed into a friend's home. i will be going backOnly thing i can say is there was a teeny speck of mildew on one of the bathroom tiles, but that was the only negative!libsy19 January 2012

4.0 star ratingStaff were very cheerful Some areas of the hotel need updating/repairing. First day we arrived there was water coming in through the lounge area of the bar, due to the heavy rain. The smoking area needs to be covered for the comfort of those guests that do smoke. Dave03 January 2014
