Secluded in the hills above the village of Contin, just 25 minutes from Inverness, this family-run country house offers scenic surroundings, fine-dining and a deliciously relaxing atmosphere. Originally built in 1821, this remarkably unique building is infused with the traditional charms of its historic past. This inspired atmosphere is further complemented by 8 acres of mature woodland, tranquil gardens and unspoilt views over the mountains and beyond. As befits a building of this age, each en-suite room is wonderfully individual and comes in a range of different shapes and sizes. Specialising in contemporary Scottish cuisine, the octagonal walled restaurant has garnered an impressive reputation for creating a unique dining experience. Wherever possible they endeavour to use fresh, locally sourced produce and ingredients. At the next roundabout again take the second left to stay on the A835 sign posted to Ullapool. The next village is Contin about 6 miles from the roundabout. Once in Contin the entrance to the driveway is the third right (approximately 200 yards) after the petrol station. The Hotel is located up the hill at the end of the half-mile gravel driveway.
