This club resort is situated in the east part of the Dominican Republic, in Playa Bavaro. It is approximately 20 minutes by car from Punta Cana international airport. This luxury hotel provides a paradise of nature with natural beaches, tropical palm trees and luscious vegetation. This luxurious all-inclusive resort affords a selection of exclusive facilities and services. Set against a quiet and romantic backdrop, this complex is exclusively for adult guests. Opened in 2005, this hotel comprises a total of 144 junior suites. There is also a selection of restaurants, including French, Japanese and Mexican restaurants, as well as a steak grill restaurant and a crêperie. Equipped with all the modern comforts, the rooms each come with a bathroom with a corner bathtub. Further in-room amenities include individually controllable air conditioning and a balcony or terrace with a hammock.

4.5 star ratingQuarto muito bom, ótima relaçao custo benefício, drinks muito bem feitos, pessoal muito educado, piscina e praia ótimas.Apesar de ter mais de 7 restaurantes, néo está entre os pontos fortes do hotel, há resorts que já fomos com melhor comida. entretanto néo se deve deixar de ir devido a isso.17 November 2012
4.0 star ratingVery nice spacious rooms. Nice grounds. Great beach and beach bar.Lunch at the pool restaurant (Sea Blue) was not a buffet but service at the table (which took to long). People want to eat a quick bite at lunch time at the beach, not a menu to choose from. The buffet restaurant for lunch is at the reception restaurant (Thalassa) which is too far away from the beach so we did not bother going there at lunch time. In the evening the Sea Blue restaurant served grilled lobster (included in the all-inclusive price). The first time they were overcooked (read: burned, they were black), the second time they were OK, the third time again a bit overcooked. We were not allowed into the Cata Tapa Restaurant because my husband's trousers weren't long enough (they were 7/8th lenth) and also because he was not wearing closed shoes. I could go in almost half naked but he had to wear full length trousers and closed shoes. We do not understand, this is a holiday, not some chic event. Who brings closed shoes and long trousers to a country where the temperature is stil over 25 degrees in the evening???? Because of this, we went for dinner a few times next door to the Catalonia Bavaro, which is a 4 star hotel at the most, not a 5 star hotel. As a guest of the Catalonia Royal Bavaro we could eat in the Priviliged section (nicer surroundings than the non-priviliged section). The food at the buffet restaurant however was only average (same food for everybody I'm afraid). One night we ordered some rosé wine there and it was really nice. We believe it was the same wine as the one they served at the Royal Bavaro. The next evening however we ordered the same wine but it took them almost half an hour to bring us two glasses of rosé wine (instead of the bottle the night before). We noticed right away that the wine was a different colour. Also, it tasted like the awful white wine we drank before, so we are pretty sure that they mixed some white wine with red wine. Unbelievable. We never went back there.24 December 2012
