5.0 star ratinglove this hotel. 2nd time we have stayed. lst was 2010. just love this place. they even made it special. once I said to the waitress it was our second time here and we wanted a romantic dinner for 2 on the beach just as we did in 2010, she, without our knowledge, arranged for a bottle of bubbly complimentary with our dinner! When I said we didn't order champagne, they said it was compliments of the hotel!!!! wonderful, wonderful staff. nothing. Anonymous 02 February 2015
3.0 star ratingThis is a hotel of two extreme opposites. It is a fabulous period property, with an amazing staff, pool and grounds, in a superb location for exploring beautiful Key West. During the day, I loved the pool and grounds, and didn't want to be anywhere else. The sunsets from the pier were incredible. But...This was my first visit to the US, and in my opinion, by European standards this hotel is hugely overpriced. I booked a King, ocean view, balcony room, and was allocated a room on the fourth floor of the west wing. For £350 a night, I was expecting top end, and got rock bottom. The room was tired, worn and filthy. I asked for a different room, and wasted 4 hours of my holiday making a complaint, arranging a move, repacking, and moving into a marginally better room on the second floor of the same block. Much cleaner and less worn, but we sacrificed our sea view a bit. Still a 3* room for 5* money. Restaurants are good but you can walk a short distance for much better fayre for half the price and you won't get attacked by seagulls. Anonymous 08 February 2016
