Hotel Information

This is a very affordable guest house lies in a leaf suburb of Rome about 18 kilometres from the heart of the city (bus and metro will take passengers to the centre in 30 minutes) and a 15-minute taxi ride from Rome's Ciampino Airport. Although set in quiet residential surroundings there is a large shopping mall 2.5 km away and a major business district close by. The Pope's summer residence is 20 minutes by car and well worth a visit. Guests will appreciate the friendly staff, who will let visitors have maps and offer transport tips. A wide selection of room types are offered ranging from single to deluxe and quadruple units. All the accommodations are compact and very comfortable, equipped with mod-cons and satellite TV, and the beds have warm down duvets. All the 12 units have en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. A laundry service can be arranged from the concierge's desk.

1.0 star ratingI booked this 'hotel' as it was close to the airport with a metro supposedly situated around the corner for easy access into Rome. However, getting to the place was an absolute nightmare. It took me and my boyfriend over an hour to find the place itself. On the last stop of the metro out of the city which took about 25 mins (not a bother), we then had to get onto a bus which took 15 minutes atleast and then walk another 10 minutes to get to the actual hotel. None of which was mentioned when I booked the place. We had no idea which bus to get on, where they would stop or even how to get to the place after we got off the bus; thank god for the gps on my phone otherwise we'd still be lost in the suburbs of Rome! When we got there there were no signs just a small bit of paper noting, what seemed to be a block of residential flats, was actually our accomodation. We mentioned to the staff that it was very difficult to find and in return we got rude looks as though we insulted them. The woman at the desk was very abrupt and rude when we asked the quickest way into the centre. Our room wasn't very clean the shower was rusty, almost so that if we touched it it would crumble in our hands. The towels were just not pleasant - crusty . We had camp beds to sleep on - would've preferred to sleep on the floor if we thought it had been cleaned within the last 2 weeks. Our room was situated off the reception itself and the door between us and the was a glass panelled door that had been painted, not painted well might I add due to the fact that we could see right into the hall from our bed. They could see us we could see them; and very clearly hear them too. Not private AT ALL. Definitely not worth the £70 for 2 nights I paid. More like £10 a night place if that. Horrendous would never return and don't trust the high rating some people have mind blowingly seemed to have scored it.Anonymous 20 May 2014
