The Bhumiyama Beach Resort is a fantastic hotel situated on Tanam, right on the sea front of Lonely Beach and surrounded by a beautiful, vast green forest. It enjoys a secluded and quiet position at approximately 30 minutes by car from main attractions, including Klong Plu Waterfall and Bang Bao Fishing Village. Trat Airport is some 50 km from the hotel. This family-friendly seaside resort comprises great guest rooms, some with private sun deck. It provides a warm and hospitable service and features the perfect ambience for a relaxed and peaceful stay as well.

4.5 star ratingHaving visited a few of the resorts on the island, it would be fair to say that this is possibly the best. Certainly, in terms of swimming pool facilities, gardens and private beach. The staff are also excellent. The air-con needs an overhaul. We had to move rooms twice in three days and had one very uncomfortable night without it. Considering the quality of the grounds / rooms etc, the food is very poor here. Very little Thai food and a very odd breakfast menu - including steak etc. Like most customerswe took a right at the beach and ate next door, where the food is excellent but the staff are very sullen!!12 August 2008
