3.5 star ratingexcellent location and quiet area with great facilities overall. hotel was well kept and staff very friendlypassive smoking/childrens good in dining room - poor selection half board guests unsure as most in hotel on all inclusive mini club mainly spanish and not inviting for the children to attend07 September 2013
4.0 star ratingRooms lovely and sunny at the western end of the hotel. Glorious views of the sea and sunset.Hotel was very open and cold especially during the cold weather in February. Good choice of food but usually cold. Birds flying around and eating out of the food trays in the pool bar a real turn off.Anonymous 18 March 2014
3.0 star ratingPool area is nice, staff are nice, room is a little dated but still clean and perfectly functional. Food was appalling in the restaurants. Really bad quality, especially the meat and fish. Unsurprisingly Got food poisoning that lasted for 4 days and a lot of other guests did as well. We spoke to many locals and the local pharmacy who all said this hotel is known for it. It's a real shame as the rest of the hotel is lovely, just don't eat anything here. Go self catering. 4.5 star ratingStayed 9 nights and very pleased with this hotel. Took double room with sea view and half board which was good value for money. Good size double room with twin beds and a small living area with sofa bed, coffee table and small sideboard with flat screen tv. Average size balcony with sturdy plastic table and 2 chairs. View from balcony was excellent looking out over the 2 pools, the beach and sea with mountains in the distance. Hotel is generally clean with good facilities. Food was very good with lots of choice. Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel is very close to the airport but its not a big issue with noise as the airport is not open 24 hours. Taxi ride from/to the airport was just under €10. There is a bus stop nearby (approx.15 minute walk) but its just a bit too far to walk with luggage. Buses go to airport, Arrecife, Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca. One of the outdoor pools is heated which was a bonus. Beach is just outside the gate across a pedestrianised promenade which has a cycle lane. Promenade and beach are excellent for walking and cycling. Entertainment every night we were there which is was typical of what to expect at Spanish hotels!! Hotel also puts on activities during the day including mini-golf, shooting, archery, darts but didn't try any of these. Hotel was very good overall with a mix of nationalities and a big cross-section of age groups - singles, couples and families. Shampoo/body wash and soap was included in our room. Room was cleaned regularly with toiletries topped up as well. Bed/mattresses very comfortable for both of us.Can't really fault the hotel on anything. However, if we were being very nit-picky then just a couple off comments to make. Room was clean but could do with a lick of paint just to freshen up. Some of the furniture showing signs of age with small damage. No tea/coffee making facilities in room (but believe you can hire if you want). Mini fridge in room but its locked and you need to rent if you want to use. Safe deposit in room but you need to rent also. Looks like a very nice spa facility with indoor pool. Again, you need to pay for this. We didn't use but enquired about price and seems €12 per person for 2 hours use was best deal. Might be different prices/offers if you are on different packages i.e. all-inclusive, etc. Air con was basic and appeared quite old and only barely cooled the room after a few hours switched on max.Mick N28 November 2015
5.0 star ratingThe facilities were excellent, the restaurant staff friendly and helpful, the proximity to the beach was great and the swimming pools very clean. We had a junior suite as we have three young daughters, which was perfect - situated on the opposite side of the hotel from the bars, we had absolutely no noise at night and could still see the sea from the balconies 😊 We found the reception staff pretty unfriendly and standoffish unfortunately. There was rarely a smile to greet you and on checking out of the hotel there was no enquiry about whether we enjoyed our stay (which would've been nice even if it wasn't a genuine concern!) The €20 they charge for Internet connection in your room is a joke as it rarely, if ever, works, and we had a bit of a battle to get a full refund when we couldn't connect at all. 1.5 star ratingNoneA very hard hotel to like. Restaurant and bars in basement where no sun shines . cold and uninviting apart from reception area. Room not cleaned til 15.30 so you have an untidy room all day. Could not have a quiet time after lunch as waiting for cleaner to arrive Had to pay per day for tea and coffee 2.20 per day . Didn't get a top up on second day. They were not topped up when cleaner was there but a person burst into room pm to top up. Always waiting to be disturbed There is a lock on fridge in room. If you wanted to use it you again had to pay per day to get it unlocked. I have stayed in many hotels but the MEAN SPIRIT that permeates this hotel is a new one on me. Mary Dublin09 February 2017
