4.5 star ratingThe instructions with the booking read that one must call at least 24 h ahead to give an arrival time as the reception is not open all the time. I was worried about this and indeed I forgot to call ahead. I only called about 4 hours ahead of arrival which turned out not to be a problem at all. We arrived around lunchtime and were greeted very well, the lady who met us helped me with my baby whilst I carried my luggage upstairs. We then had an amazing lunch at the hotel. The dinner, and the following three meals I enjoyed at the restaurant were all absolutely to die for so the restaurant really comes with a huge recommendation! The room was of a very good size (I had a premium room), it was clean and pretty, the bed was comfortable and the windows on the first floor were huge. There is no lift. The airconditioning did not work properly which was a problem for me as the accompanying fan did nothing to alleviate the summer heat. I asked for help but somehow just when they visited the aircon was working again, so I did not really get the help I needed. There was possibly a language barrier here, my Spanish is ok but not good enough to talk about aircon at length. I survived but the night was difficult, but I am sure that this issue would now have been resolved, if there ever was one. Had it not been for the aircon I would have scored 5 throughout. The town seems very quiet, but the hotel's restaurant seems to be a hub for the locals to meet in, which was a lovely experience. nordicchick16 August 2015
